Enewetak Atoll Clean Up Veteran Nuked and Neglected Jackets
This Jacket Back kind of "SAYS IT ALL"! This jacket was designed BY "Enewetak Atoll Veterans" and FOR "Enewetak Atoll Veterans". We The Veterans, served there from 1977-1980 and our Mission was the Clean Up and as much as possible, THE DECONTAMINATION of the Enewetak Atoll located in the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific. It was a "Pacific Paradise", a Tropical "Garden of Eden" It came equipped with everything--including it's very own 'Serpent '. That Serpent had a name, it was called "ATOMIC RADIATION" and it was just as Evil as the original serpent and came with it's own "LIE". Oh, don't worry about the radiation, it's not that hot, "Gosh", "it's no hotter than the background radiation you would get in Down Town Denver". NOW some 40 years later, these same Veterans that trusted their Country and were exposed to Ionizing Radiation now seek the redress, the recognition and title of "ATOMIC VETERANS" which would provide the Assistance and Medical treatment of the various Cancers and diseases that our Brothers suffer from daily due to the effects of the radiation exposure.
As in previous Jackets, Your NAME can be added over the Left breast pocket in red or yellow (although the yellow shows up better), along with the dates served in Enewetak and any job title you may want to add. These Jacket backs have approx 132,000 stitches and each take approx 3 hrs on the machine Example: Robert "DOC BATES" NCOIC Army Medical, Lojwa 1978-1979
Catalog#: CTTP-029 Price: $155.00-$185.00
NOTE: $16.95 will be added for shipping for this jacket. This includes US Priority Mail, Tracking and insurance.

Enewetak Atoll Veterans' Jackets
These Jackets are designed by and for the United States Military Veterans (AND CIVILIANS) that served on the Enewetak Atoll Clean up Project in the Marshall Islands located in the South Pacific from 1977-1980. These service members from the Army, Navy, and Air Force lived and worked under the most primitive of conditions. They worked cleaning up RADIOACTIVE debris, soil, and material from the islands in the Enewetak Atoll, transported them to the island of Runit and deposited them in the crater created by the detonation of the "Cactus" atomic weapon. The debris was deposited in the crater and the soil was mixed with a concrete slurry mix and filled the crater. It was then capped by a concrete dome and the island remains off limits and the other islands still "Hot". Some 35 yrs later, the Veterans that served there are still seeking the recognition and the designation of "Atomic Veterans". This designation would allow the "SURVIVORS" the help that they need to combat the illnesses and cancers that have taken the lives of so many of our Brothers. Jackets are available in Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X-Large, 3X-Large, 4X-Large, 5X-Large and 6X-Large.
This jacket has the basic Enewetak Atoll Patch with the Island name of LOJWA on the top scroll. The nickname of "LOJWA ANIMALS" is embroidered over the top of the patch in yellow. However this can be changed to a different color, such as red with prior approval. Your name can be added over the left breast pocket in whatever color you want along with the dates served in Enewetak, such as "DOC BATES" 1978-1979
